Linton & Associates was formed in 1988. We are still locally-owned and led by a team of qualified professionals to provide excellent service to our clients as we serve their insurance needs professionally, quickly and accurately. We’re pleased to serve employers and employees across New Mexico and surrounding states as well as multi-state employer groups. We also provide a variety of individual insurance options as well.

Terry Linton
 Terry Linton formed Linton & Associates in 1988 after working for a local brokerage firm. His desire was to serve clients with respect and attention, no matter the size of their business. Terry, as a business owner, understands the challenges facing his clients. He lives by the company motto, “the service you deserve, the professionalism you expect”, in every aspect of his personal and professional life. |

Shay Bierly, SPHR
 Shay Bierly joined the company in 2004. Her resume includes more than 14 years of field experience ranging from human resources to health carrier employee to agent, and now an Agency Director. Her experience allows her to understand the challenges of administering benefits to employees from a human resources perspective, as well as the inner workings of a health plan—an asset to ease benefit explanation, claim resolution and determine each individual's needs. Shay is very active in the human resource community and holds the designation as Senior Professional in Human Resources as well as serving on the SHRM NM State Council and Human Resource Managers of Albuquerque board. Shay dedicates her time outside the office to her family, running and coaching youth. |

William Byer
 William Byer has extensive experience in designing property and casualty insurance as well as employee benefit programs with over 15 years of experience. His training in insurance includes: Casualty & Surety, Property, Marine & Transportation Vehicle as well as Commercial Bonding; Medical, Dental, Life, Disability, Vision, Cafeteria Plans, Long-term Care, Key-person insurance, COBRA and HIPAA compliance. William is a member of many professional affiliations, including: NM State Association of Health Underwriters, Rio Grande Association of Health Underwriters, Independent Insurance Agents of NM, New Mexico Restaurant Association,and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. |

Melissa Edwards
 Melissa Edwards is the Individual and Self Employed Plan Specialist and has been with Linton & Associates since 2006. She came to our agency from Lovelace Health Plan where she assisted in escalated claims resolution and supervised customer care staff. Melissa has a wealth of knowledge regarding individual policies and is our onsite specialist for NM Health Insurance Alliance and NM Medical Risk Pool. She has served as the chairperson for the Affiliate Committee for Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors and was the 2010 GAAR Affiliate of the Year. Her out of the box thinking helps clients not only save money but gives them peace of mind regarding their coverage. |

Our Administrative Support Team is headed up by Sylvia Trujillo, who is our Office Manager. She handles the day to day administration of the office, accounts payable/receivable, employee enrollments/terminations for clients, as well as a many other tasks and projects. Sylvia’s responsibilities include maintaining our internal operating systems, IT, data management and new and existing client proposal development. Her longevity with our agency gives her a breadth and width of knowledge of all carrier's plan designs, carrier documentation and processes.
